How to recycle

Follow Refoil’s three easy steps and become foil waste free.

Refoil

Colour with confidence knowing that you are doing the environment a favour. Let your customer know that you are a colourist who cares.

Refoil products can be used in all types of hair colour techniques from slicing, panelling to highlighting. Because of its great heat absorbing qualities you can also use it for various hair treatments.

Crush

After the colouring process has finished, the crushing part begins.

At the washbasin take the Refoil sheets of your client’s head and rinse lightly. This makes the recycling process go smoother. Then crush Refoil sheets into tight balls. Your Refoil balls should be the size of a tennis ball (or bigger). The bigger the balls the better.

So, how big are your balls? Size does matter.

Recycle

Dispose your Refoil balls in your salon’s ‘Refoil only’ bin. Once your bin is full, it is time to recycle your Refoil balls. So, do the right thing and put it in the recycle bin! To find out where in your local area you can recycle your Refoil balls, check out Where to recycle.

Remember to separate your Refoil balls from any plastic bags when recycling. Plastic bags are not recyclable.
